Dr Brian Clement has advice that can make all the difference to your health and energy levels.
All creatures on this earth – with the exception of domestic animals and others that we have displaced – consume not only an uncooked diet but also a simple one that most often consists of one type of food at a time, and our ancestors ate in a similar way.
Foods are made up of natural chemicals and our bodies are similar to test tubes in a laboratory. Starchy food, for example, requires alkaline digestive juices while protein requires more acidic juices. When both these juices are mixed, they tend to neutralise each other. Thus, the mixing of starch and protein foods at the same meal slows digestion of both, and often results in indigestion.
